About Crime Solvers

The Hopewell Police Department is a partner member and has a cooperative alliance with The Hopewell/Prince George Crimesolvers, Inc. The Hopewell/Prince George Crimesolvers is a 501c (3), tax-exempt community based organization formed to offer rewards for anonymous tips leading to the solving of crimes and the apprehension of wanted fugitives.

How Crime Solvers work?

The Hopewell/Prince George Crimesolvers program utilizes the P3tips platform to receive and manage tips provided by anonymous persons. Tipsters who have information on any unsolved crime or wanted fugitive can contact us directly via the telephone hotline or by using the P3tips app which is FREE and available in both the Goggle Play and Apple Stores. Regardless of the method you use, you will remain anonymous and if your tip leads to an arrest you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Will my identity be revealed?

No. Your identity is protected pursuant to Virginia Law Code Section: 2.2-3706 A(3), as well as, 15.2-1713.1 (B). Additionally, you will not have to testify in any criminal court proceeding.

Am I truly anonymous?

Yes. The P3 platform is encrypted and your identity is protected.

How do I know if I received a reward for my information?

When providing information, you will be given a unique Tip I.D (Identification Number). Your Tip I.D. will allow us to communicate directly to you and inform you if you received a reward for your information. You will also be provided with specific directions on how to get your cash reward.
