Youth Horseshoe Tournament Ring it up at Hopewell’s Horseshoe Tournament. Open to any youth that wants to compete in a double elimination tournament to be held at Union Fort.
Who: Teenagers 13-18 years old When: June 11-15, 2007 Where: Union Fort on Appomattox Street Time: 5:00pm each day Register by: Friday, June 1st at the Hopewell Community Center. Cost: $15.00
Youth Baseball/Softball Registration The Hopewell Department of Recreation and Parks will be holding baseball and softball registration for youth ages 7 to 17 at the Hopewell Community Center. Proof of age plus parental signature is required. The following is a list of the leagues that are offered:
5&6 Instructional T-ball League (5-6) Boy’s Coached Pitch League (7-8). Girl’s Knights of Columbus Coached Pitch League (7-8-9). Boy’s Pee-Wee Baseball (9-10). Girl’s Optimist Youth Softball (10-13). Boy’s Youth Baseball (11-12). Boy’s Recreation Baseball (13-15). Girl’s Optimist Junior Softball (14-17). Boy’s Travel Baseball (15-16).
Who: Hopewell Youth ages 5 to17 as of April 30, 2007. When: Now until April 13, 2007. Where: Hopewell Community Center. Time: Anytime the Hopewell Community Center is open.
Men’s Summer Soccer League The Hopewell Department of Recreation and Parks is starting a Men’s Summer Soccer League. Come join our league for an organized and competitive experience. Don’t stop playing just because your high school years have come and gone!

Who: Any soccer player 16 years of age or older Register by: Saturday, June 9, 2007 Location: Atwater Soccer Complex, Atwater Point Field Cost: Based on the number of players and number of games League Games Begin: Monday, June 18, 2007 Game Nights: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday nights (1st game @ 5:30 and 2nd game @ 7:00)
Baseball/Softball Grand Opening Ceremony The Hopewell Department of Recreation and Parks will be holding a Grand Opening to kick off the 2007 Youth Baseball/Softball Season on May 19, 2007 at Mathis Park. This will be a fun filled day with the introduction of players and coaches from Boy’s Youth Baseball, Pee-Wee Baseball, and Girl’s Optimist Youth Softball. We will also play several games that day and have a variety of activities for all. Come meet the players and coaches. The ceremony starts at 10:00am.

Four-Man Captains Choice Golf Tournament Ready for relaxing, fun-filled day of golf with three of your best friends? Hopewell Department of Recreation and Parks will be sponsoring a Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament at Jordan Point Country Club. When: 9:00am, Aug. 3rd. Where: Jordan Point. Cost: $200 per team, which includes green fee, Cart, and Lunch. Register by: July 20, 2007.
Hopewell Annual Tennis Tournament The City of Hopewell Department of Recreation and Parks once again will be invaded by tennis player’s form the surrounding area in their quest to become No. 1 in their division. Awards will be plaques for the top two players in each category.

Youth Soccer Clinic Wade Nye, Hopewell High School Soccer Coach, wants to teach players ages 4 and up the basic way to play soccer by conducting a one-day mini-clinic sponsored by the Hopewell Recreation and Parks Department.

Hershey Track and Field Meet Come join the million of Americans that want to run the fastest, jump the highest, and throw the farthest in a competitive atmosphere where local winners can advance from local meets to regional meets to state meets and maybe to the nationals. Youth Football Clinic Always wanted to be a football player, but was afraid you didn’t know how to play? Well, your fears have been answered. Marshall Parker and his Hopewell High School Football Staff want to teach the fundamentals of football in a two-day training clinic for kids 8 to 18 years old.

Youth Cheerleading Clinic Jump with the best, Chant with the greatest, and learn the basics of cheerleading from HHS Cheerleaders and Coach Carla Johnson. For youth 7 to 18 years old.
