Greg
Cuffey was elected to Hopewell City Council to represent Ward #7 in May
2006. In 2002 he ran for the same seat and lost by only 23 votes.
Councilor Cuffey was born in
Norfolk, Virginia and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in
Portsmouth. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State
University and is currently seeking his M. B. A.
He has achieved his Para-legal
Certificate from Old Dominion University from Norfolk State University. He
is also a Certified Personal Trainer.
Mr. Cuffey is married and has
two children. He is employed by Alfa Laval, Inc., a Swedish company located
in Richmond. Among his professional affiliations are NAPM-VA (National
Association for Purchasing Managers of Virginia); Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Inc.; and, the NAACP. He is a Volunteer Counselor at the Riverside Regional
Jail.
Councilor Cuffey is active with
the Arlington Road Church of Christ as Youth Director, Treasurer, and
Trustee. He has been a member of the Neighborhood Watch Advisory Council,
Industrial Development Authority, and the Promotions Advisory Board.
