The Recreation and Parks Department seeks to enrich the quality of life for the citizens of Hopewell by offering safe, accessible park facilities and a diverse recreational and activities program. The department's goal is to provide residents with the opportunity to develop new skills, create new interests, learn and teach new hobbies that will enhance and expand citizens' physical, mental, and social development.

Through capital improvement, projects and on-going maintenance of our nation's resources, the Recreation and Parks Department manages some of the most action-packed events and facilities in the City.
