Our mission is to create and sustain a safe community in the City of Hopewell. In order to accomplish this mission, we recognize the need to be able to efficiently and effectively communicate information as well as receive information from those we serve. Today’s Web environment allows for this extremely important communication.

Our Web site allows those who live, work, or otherwise frequent our City to become an active partner with the Hopewell Police Department in combating crime and enhancing quality of life. This occurs by you being informed about our police department and the community, and by you informing us about concerns, problems, and relevant information that may result in our preventing criminal activity, solving crimes, and dealing with issues that may improve the quality of life in our community.

Police headquarters is located in the City Hall building at 300 North Main Street. Hours of operation for administration are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. The Dispatch Center is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
