Summer Camps Overview

Hopewell Recreation and Parks offers a variety of summer camp programs for various age groups. Please see detailed descriptions of each program below to find the right program for your child. Kiddie Camp

For ages 3-4. This program for preschoolers provides two-week sessions that promote summer fun and new experiences. Group activities will assist with the development of listening skills and independence in preparation for the more structured learning environment of preschool and kindergarten. Lunch will be provided.

  • Hopewell Community Center. $25. Registration ends June 30.
  • Session 3
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, July 24-August 2, 11AM-1PM
  • Hopewell Community Center. $25. Registration ends July 14.
  • Session 4
  • Tuesday & Thursday, August 7 & 9, 11AM-1PM
  • Hopewell Community Center. $10. Registration ends July 28.

Explorers Camp

For ages 5-7. This program for young children will provide two-week sessions that focus on structured group activities that promote fun and new friendships! Participants will engage in arts and crafts, outdoor activities, water fun, gym games, and more! Lunch will be provided.

  • Session 2
  • Mondays & Wednesdays, July 9-18, 11AM-1PM
  • Hopewell Community Center. $25. Registration ends June 30.
  • Session 3
  • Mondays & Wednesdays, July 23-August 1, 11AM-1PM
  • Hopewell Community Center. $25. Registration ends July 14.
  • Session 4
  • Monday & Wednesday, August 6 & 8, 11AM-1PM
  • Hopewell Community Center. $10. Registration ends July 28.

Adventure Camp

For ages 8-12. Adventure Camp combines a variety of traditional camp activities with field trips, special guests, and themed activities. Each week of camp will follow a different them and feature unique activities and field trips. Camp programs meet Monday-Thursday from 8:30AM-2PM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Don’t wait until the last minute- space is limited!

T.N.T.

For ages 13-15. This exciting new evening program will provide an opportunity for teens to connect during the summer months while engaging in a variety of activities like laser tag, movies, swimming, and field trips.

  • Thursdays, June 28-August 9, 6-8PM
  • Hopewell Community Center. $35. Registration ends June 16.

Community Builders

For ages 13-17. This unique summer program will provide an opportunity for students to serve their communities through a variety of improvement projects. Participants will learn the basics of landscaping and other light trade work while working with youth mentors. This program qualifies for mandated community service hours. Equipment will be provided.

    • Saturdays, June 16, July 21, & August 4
    • 9AM-noon.
    • Hopewell Community Center.
    • Free, but registration is required.

Financial Assistance
Hopewell Recreation and Parks strives to make sure all children have an opportunity to benefit from summer programs and camps. Assistance is available for families experiencing financial hardship.
