Animal Control Staff

The Animal Service Unit is tasked with enforcing the City Ordinances and Laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia as they pertain to domestic animals and the public’s health, safety, and welfare. The Animal Services Unit strives toward the reduction and prevention of animal-related problems in the community through reasonable and responsible application of education, warning, citations, and the holding of domestic animals.
