The Local Choice Healthcare

The City of Hopewell offers a medical, dental and vision insurance plan through The Local Choice. This is a bundled plan that consists of medical and vision insurance through Anthem, and a dental plan through Delta Dental for one competitive premium. Employees have the option to participate in one of three plans: Key Advantage Expanded, Key Advantage 250 and a High Deductible Health Plan. Employees may choose between five levels of coverage: employee only, employee plus spouse, employee plus child, employee plus children or employee plus family. Your premiums will depend on the plan and level of coverage selected.

Delta Dental

For employees who only need dental insurance, we offer a plan through Delta Dental of Virginia. This plan offers an alternative way to provide for you and your family’s dental care needs – economically and conveniently. Our program is designed to make covered benefits more affordable. In most cases, the plan will pay a portion of the cost of your covered benefit (up to the plan’s maximum). You may be responsible for deductibles, coinsurance and in some cases, dental charges that exceed what Delta Dental covers.
