Career
Captain Damon Stoker began his career with the Hopewell Police Department in June of 2000 as a patrol officer. Other duty assignments included bicycle patrol and school resource officer. He was promoted to sergeant in 2006, and he served as a patrol sergeant and the sergeant over the Crime Suppression Unit. In 2012, he was promoted to Lieutenant. As a lieutenant, he supervised Support Services, Patrol Services, and the Office of Professional Standards. He was promoted to Captain in August 2019.
Education
Stoker has a bachelor of science from Virginia Commonwealth University, and he is a graduate of the National Criminal Justice Command College (University of Virginia).
