COVID-19 Small Business Resources

The City of Hopewell’s Economic Development staff, in partnership with other local and regional Economic Development agencies, has created a list of resources available to small businesses during this COVID-19 pandemic. Please refer to the links below for more information on each resource. Federal Resources:

  • Nav’s Small Business Grant: Due by May 30th. Three winners will be chosen: one $10,000 winner, one $2,000 and one $1,000. You have to sign up for a free Nav account, and then post on social media explaining what your business does, what challenge you’ve had to overcome, and what you plan to do with your grant funds (make sure to tag Nav in your post!).<./li>
  • FedEx Small Business Grants: Applications go live on May 25th. In order to be eligible, your business has had to be in business for 1 year, and your business has had to ship product in the past 12 months or plan to ship product in the next 12 months. FedEx will be awarding 200 $5,000 grants, and each grant recipient will receive a $500 FedEx credit to use for printing and shipping services.
  • CDC Guidance for Businesses (US Center for Disease Control and Prevention): Guidance from the CDC on how to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • COVID-19 Small Business Guidance & Resources (Small Business Administration): Guidance for small businesses dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Small Business Resources for Surviving Coronavirus (US Chamber of Commerce): Resources from the US Chamber of Commerce for small businesses dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Treasury and IRS Guidance on Tax Deferment (US Treasury): Information on tax deferment for small businesses.
  • How to Stay Safe Online during COVID19 (National Cyber Security Alliance): Resources for how to stay safe online during the COVID19 pandemic.
  • Federal Actions Affecting Small Businesses (National Federation of Independent Businesses): Outlines the actions Congress is taking during the COVID-19 pandemic and how it is affecting small businesses.
  • Federal Government Stimulus Aid for Small Businesses (US Chamber of Commerce): A breakdown of the Federal Government’s stimulus package and how it affects small businesses.
  • What the Federal Government is Doing Amid COVID19 (US Government): A list of priorities and actions taken by the US Government amid the COVID19 outbreak.
  • LinkedIn Small Business Strong Resource Group: This LinkedIn group is for small business owners to collaborate and share resources and ideas amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • ICSC Re-Opening Best Practices: This is a guide from the International Council of Shopping Centers for how to reopen after the COVID-19 crisis.
  • SCORE Mentor Webinars: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-5PM, you can Zoom with local SCORE mentors to get advice and have your questions answered. This is a free resource.
