**Arrest made after Sunday evening robbery – Family Dollar in Hopewell **

[Hopewell, VA]-On Sunday, December 8, 2019 at approximately 9:13 PM, officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Family Dollar store located at 1033 Elm Street. The preliminary investigation revealed the lone offender entered the business, with a black in color firearm demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, the offender fled the business on foot. No individuals were harmed during the incident.

Images of the offender a W/M, with facial hair wearing a gray hoody with red writing, jeans, white shoes and orange work gloves was captured by the businesses security camera. Detectives were able to identify 30 –year-old Mr. Robert William Neil Seifrield, of Hopewell as the offender.

Detective Lieutenant Michael Langford said, “Quick work by the officers and detectives resulted in the swift arrest of an armed and dangerous suspect during the holiday season.” Mr. Robert William Neil Seifrield was taken into custody shortly after the robbery without incident and charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and two counts of abduction.
