City of Hopewell Establishes Water Distribution Point

HOPEWELL, VA— It is anticipated that Virginia American Water will begin issuing bottled water at some point on Sunday to affected residents.

The Distribution Point will be in the Hopewell High School/Patrick Copeland Elementary School Area. Public Safety staff will direct motorist into the water distribution point. We will announce the starting time for distribution as soon as it is determined.

Please continue to conserve water. Virginia American Water issued a boil water advisory as a precautionary measure only for residents in the City of Hopewell, as well as the subdivisions of New Birchett Estates, Cedar Creek, Cedar Creek West, Strafford Woods and Mullberry Woods in Prince George County.

We will continue updates as information becomes available through Code Red, Nixle, the City’s Website and the City’s Social Media Outlets.
