CITY POINT 5K AND KIDS FUN RUN

ROAD CLOSURES WILL IMPACT LOCAL TRAFFIC AND MAY CAUSE DELAYS

Hopewell, VA – The City Point 5K and Kids Fun Run will take place on Saturday, October 26, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Varying road closures will be in place during the event, affecting Hopewell’s downtown and the City Point neighborhood.

Road closures will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will significantly impact thru traffic on Randolph Road (State Route 10) in the vicinity of the Beacon Theatre. Thru traffic should follow the posted detour to avoid delays. Additional closures will impact parts of City Point along Appomattox Street, Cedar Lane, and connecting neighborhood streets. City Point Road will be closed in the vicinity of the Hopewell Community Center. Please plan accordingly and expect travel delays. Motorists should follow all road closures to ensure the safety of race participants. No motor vehicles will be allowed on the race course once the race has begun.

The Hopewell HEAL Fest will be held on Friday, October 25 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Hopewell Community Center. The event is a celebration of healthy eating and active living and will include a variety of activities, fitness demonstrations, and resource vendors.
