**Convenience store robbed -Police seek public’s assistance in identifying offender **

[Hopewell, VA] – On November 18, 2018, at approximately 7:00 pm, officers responded to a call of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Broadway Express Store located at 300 East Broadway. The preliminary investigation revealed that the lone offender entered the business, brandished a firearm and demanded money from the clerk. The offender made off with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and was last seen fleeing the business on foot. No persons were harmed during the incident.
The offender is described as an Hispanic male, approximately 6’0” tall, 180 to 200 pounds with tattoos on both hands. He was last seen wearing a maroon sweatshirt, jeans, ski mask and in possession of a brown in color firearm.

The Hopewell Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this matter, and is further requesting that any person(s) who may have witnessed the incident, were traveling in and around the area at the time or have any information to provide regarding the robbery, contact Lead Detective Cameron List at (804) 541-2222.
