Grand Opening of Pasta Diner in downtown Hopewell
Hopewell, VA – Hopewell is excited to announce the Grand Opening and Ribbon cutting for Pasta Diner, downtown Hopewell’s newest culinary addition! The celebration will take place Saturday, June 22nd, at 11:30am at 220 E City Point Rd in downtown Hopewell.
Owners Loretta Gonzalez and Pablo Posada decided to open their own restaurant after being in the restaurant industry for a combined 20 years. A native of Hopewell, Mrs. Gonzalez is excited to be starting a business in her hometown. “I remember my grandparents used to take me to this restaurant when it was the Little Chef,” says Gonzalez. “I have fond memories of this place and was excited to be able to start my own restaurant here.”
The new restaurant has a diverse menu ranging from omelets in the morning, to wraps and lasagna for lunch and dinner. True to their name, their specialty is pasta, ranging from Fettuccini Alfredo to Chicken Parmesan over a bed of spaghetti. They have daily pasta specials that are displayed on the front of the building and on their Facebook site.
Pasta Diner is located in the building that was once home to Little Chef, and Stone’s Diner. “This building has a lot of historic significance as it was made by Valentine Manufacturing in the mid-20th century and sold as a pre-fabricated unit to business owners across the country,” says Evan Kaufman, Executive Director of the Hopewell Downtown Partnership. “We are excited to see the legacy of this space live on with a great new business.”
They are open from 5:30am to 6pm every-day and will stay open until the last customer is served and satisfied.
The Ribbon Cutting is hosted by a partnership between the Hopewell Downtown Partnership, City of Hopewell, and Hopewell/Prince George Chamber of Commerce.
