HOPEWELL, VA.The Appomattox River will sparkle and glimmer during the annual Holiday Boat Parade, hosted by Hopewell Recreation and Parks. The event will take place on Saturday, December 7. Boats will depart from the Jordan Point Yacht Haven at 5:30 p.m. and make their way upriver to the Hopewell City Marina, the main viewing location for the parade.

Holiday music will be played throughout the evening and food trucks will serve up concessions available for purchase. An awards ceremony will be conducted at the Hopewell Marina Store at the conclusion of the parade. The Hopewell City Marina is located at 1051 Riverside Avenue. The parade may also be viewed from Weston Manor, located at 400 Weston Lane.

Event parking will be available at the Hopewell City Marina, along Riverside Avenue, and at Weston Manor. Please note that parking is limited and eventgoers should make an effort to arrive early to secure a parking space.

Motorists should expect heavy traffic in the vicinity of the Hopewell City Marina and should be prepared for delays and road closures along North 21st Avenue and Riverside Avenue. Additionally, motorists should use caution due to increased pedestrian volume in the area.
