**Police seek suspect in Home Invasion**

[Hopewell, VA] – On September 17, 2019 at approximately 9:30 PM, officers responded to the 3000 block of Danville Street for a reported home invasion that had just occurred. The investigation revealed the victim encountered the lone male offender who forced entry into the victim’s residence armed with a knife. During the home invasion, the offender placed the knife to the victim’s throat attempting to sexually assault the victim. The offender fled the scene on foot after a struggle ensued with the victim. The victim sustained minor injuries, which did not require medical treatment. The offender was described as:

B/M with a dark complexion, 20 to 30 YOA, 5’09-5’11”, heavy set with a goatee. He was last seen wearing denim jeans with a dark colored “hoodie” style jacket and dark colored gloves.
