**Police seek to identify suspect in armed robbery **

[Hopewell, VA] – On Monday, January 4, 2021 at approximately 9:58 PM, officers responded to the Quality Inn located at 4911 Oaklawn Boulevard for a robbery that had just occurred. The preliminary investigation revealed the lone offender entered the business, with a knife demanding money from the clerk. The clerk ran into the office at which time the offender kicked in the door again demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, the offender fled the business on foot. No individuals were harmed during the incident.

The offender is described as a white female, approximately 5’05”to 5’07” tall, approximately 115 to 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing dark colored jeans, white shoes, a hooded jacket, light colored stocking cap, gloves and a mask covering her face. Surveillance footage showed the offender displaying a screwdriver or knife, as she demanded money.
