ROCKIN’ ON THE RIVER CONCERT SERIES ANNOUNCED

Hopewell, VA – Hopewell Recreation and Parks has announced dates for the Rockin’ on the River Concert Series.  The eight-show series will feature a variety of local artists performing popular covers from different genres.  The series begins Wednesday, May 8, and will continue through September 11.  Performances begin at 7:0 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. each evening.  Concerts are free and open to the public.  The series is sponsored by Fish Tales II.

  • May 8 – Magnolia
  • May 22 – Donnie Barber Project
  • June 5 – Cobalt Whiskey
  • June 19 – Bustin’ Loose
  • July 17 – One Way Ryde
  • July 31 – Smoke and Wine
  • August 14 – 4Play
  • September 11-Harley Boone

Concerts will be held outdoors on the Appomattox River at the Hopewell City Marina, located at 1051 Riverside Avenue, Hopewell, Virginia 23860.  Parking is available on site free of charge.  Concessions will be available for purchase.  Chairs and blankets will be permitted.  Outside coolers/food/drink will not be allowed in the concert area.  Pets are not permitted in the concert area.

The boat ramp at the Hopewell City Marina will remain open for regular use during the concerts.  All ramp fees will apply.
