Virginia Academy of Dance in Downtown Hopewell to Hold Grand Opening!
Hopewell, VA.—Virginia Academy of Dance is Downtown Hopewell’s newest business! Virginia Academy of Dance is the tri-cities’ only traditional dance studio, offering dance classes for both children and adults. The Grand Opening ceremony will be held on Monday, August 26th at 5:30pm, at 206 Main Street Hopewell, VA.
Savannah Helmer is the owner and operator of Virginia Academy of Dance. She has been dancing for over 13 years, and a dance teacher for three. In the past, she has danced with the Richmond Ballet, making appearances in many shows including the Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. She was also a teacher with the Richmond Ballet. Savannah is a registered instructor with the American Ballet Theatre (ABT), and Virginia Academy of Dance is a registered ABT studio. The ABT offers a National Training Curriculum that consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
Virginia Academy of Dance offers many dance classes, including: Primary Ballet/Tap, Level 1 Ballet/Tap, Level 2 Ballet, Level 2 Tap, Level 2 Jazz, Level 2 Modern, Debutants, Adult Ballet, Adult Tap, Adult Clogging, Adult Line Dancing, and Ballroom.
Each Friday, Virginia Academy of Dance offers different adult classes starting at 7pm. Each class is $10 per participant. Virginia Academy of Dance is open most afternoons for registration for children’s dance classes. Interested participants can also contact Virginia Academy of Dance via Facebook to register.
