Project Lifesaver

project-life-saver-picThe Hopewell Sheriff’s Office provides Project Lifesaver for the Citizens of Hopewell. For a nominal monthly maintenance fee a person can be signed up for this lifesaving program!

Our Project Lifesaver equipment consists of a low frequency signal producing bracelet that is detected using omni-directional and directional antennas and sensitive receivers to locate a transmitter to within a 12 inches anywhere in the City of Hopewell. Additional assets and jurisdictions can be empowered to assist in the search to include aircraft and watercraft.

The chances of finding your lost loved one are greatly increased using this system and can prevent a tragedy! The Hopewell Sheriff’s Office currently has 7 adults and children participating in the program. We have performed 3 rescues of lost/missing persons utilizing this equipment.
