Tropical Storm Isaias Debris Removal

Hopewell, VA.- In response to the damage created by tropical storm Isaias, The City of Hopewell will be collecting storm debris/vegetation at the residence of citizens that make a request.  To utilize this service, residents need to contact the Public Works Department at (804) 541-2295 to get on the list.  This free removal service will begin Friday, August 7, 2020 and continue until all service requests received my noon Monday, August 10, 2020 are served.  All debris must be placed at the curb or ditch in front of property prior to the scheduled collection day.  Piles of leaves and grass clippings will not be collected as a part of this program.  Furthermore, residents should not place storm debris in alleys.

Please note that all debris/vegetation can be disposed of for free at the Citizens Convenience Center during its normal operating hours (12:30-3:30PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and 8AM – 4:30PM on Saturdays).

Curbside recycling program

* County Waste collects curbside recycling in the City of Hopewell. Recycling is in green cart with yellow lid only. No personal containers.
