Senior Citizens Advisory Commission
The nine (9)-member Commission is appointed by City Council to two (2)-year terms of office. The purpose of the Commission is to evaluate the resources, services and programs that are designed to serve the City’s senior citizens; establish priorities of services and programs for the senior citizen population; recommend to City Council programs and services for senior citizens; and serve as an advocate for Hopewell’s senior population. Meeting Time and Place: Third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Hopewell Community Center, 100 W. City Point Rd., Hopewell, VA. Staffed by the Recreation Department (Minute Book 18, Page 82, & Minute Book 20, Page 480).
